Folio (308 x 205mm.), title printed in red and black within woodcut border, woodcut initials and tailpieces, full-page woodcut illustrations of horses, equestrian manoeuvres, bits and tourneys (the latter by Jost Amman), double-page woodcut plate at end, contemporary calf, blue edges and remains of green silk ties, [Nissen ZBI 1723; VD16 G3371; cf. Mellon 7 (English translation of c. 1560)], foot of double-page plate slightly frayed and repaired, binding rubbed with a few small wormholes and some staining, spine repaired at head, upper joint cracked, lower joint repaired
