Condition

The canvas has been relined. There are some minor areas of craquelure above the trees in the the left hand corner and near the centre of the canvas. There is a minor area of rippling craquelure near the lower left edge and there is a very faint stretcher bar mark along the right hand edge. There are a few spots of surface dirt in the sky in the upper right quadrant otherwise the work appears in good overall condition. Under ultraviolet light there are two small spots of retouching near the upper right corner. There are a few small areas and flecks of retouchings above the horizon in the right hand quadrant and a few minor flecks of retouching in the sky along the right hand edge.
