Condition

The original canvas is sound. There are faint stretcher marks to the left, upper and right edges. There are a few small spots of staining in the lower right corner. There is craquelure in all four quadrants, predominantly in the sky and in the lower left quadrant. Under ultraviolet light, there are two spots of retouching, one to the arch of the bridge and the other to the right of the barrel below the bridge. Held in a gilt plaster frame.
