Condition
The board is sound. There is a 5 centimetre long horizontal surface crack along the left edge in the upper left quadrant. There is a thin line of abrasion near the upper right corner. There is a line of craquelure with a tiny fleck of paint loss at the very edge in the upper right corner. There is a fleck of paint loss on the left tower in the upper left quadrant. There are a few tiny specks of staining and the surface may benefit well from a light clean.
Ultraviolet light reveals a spot of fluorescence in the upper left corner, which appears to be very old retouching.
Held in a painted wood and plaster frame.
