Birth of the Little Tin Soldier

A celebration of flats, this display includes a variety of makers and themes dating from the 19th century to the 1940s, including "Following the Hounds," a hunt scene made by Heinrichsen for the English market. Another hunt scene by an unknown German manufacturer features fleeing stags and boars. Together with a group of 5th or 6th century Gauls battling Germanic tribes by Aloy Ochel and Heinrichsen.  Accompanied by a group of figures depicting the legendary story of the 14th century Swiss hero, William Tell, who is shooting the apple off his son's head with a crossbow. Also with a procession celebrating the Feast of Corpus Christi, produced in the 19th century by Heinrichsen.
