Description

  • tin, paint
The "St. Louis" is a very tidy craft. It is fitted with white superstructure trimmed in red, atop which is mounted  an elaborate bridge which centers a door stamped with the Märklin logo flanked by six windows on each side with railing enclosed mock plank top. The two striking white funnels are banded in red, and at the prow is a brass figurehead with flag over "St. Louis" on each side.  The hull is attractively finished in cream and embellished with portholes and red piping over a red keel. Railing features opening gate on both sides and there are two lifeboats on davits at stern. Superstructure removes to reveal horizontal boiler with original burner.
