Description

Featuring superstructure finished in white with gold piping around cut-out windows. The top of this structure extends fore and aft to create covered areas open on three sides. Bridge is reached by three sets of ascending steps. Other features include two of three masts, two of three funnels, three lifeboats, and eight fixed guns. Ocean liner hull is painted light green over white with stamped portholes and red keel. Rudder is stamped with Märklin logo. Superstructure is removed to reveal horizontal boiler with burner which turns double screw. Arming ocean liners was a prudent and often necessary measure during World War I.

Condition

One mast, one funnel, one lifeboat and two davits missing; wear, flaking and blistering to hull. Please note that the stand is not for sale and will not accompany the lot.
