First edition, in a jacket, of the author's great political novel, in which Conrad "dared to challenge (and arguably surpassed) Dostoyevsky's Crime and Punishment" (Cedric Watts, Oxford DNB). This copy includes three publisher's flyers, each with a reference to Conrad's novel.
