  • Copper
famille-rose enamels on copper, of elongated ovoid form with a waisted neck rising to a gilded mouth, supported on a circular gilt foot, with two vignettes, one depicting boys playing in a garden, the other with boys and two ladies, each bordered by foliate scrolls, reserved on a puce enamel and dotted-black ground, the foot and collar with ruyi-head lappets, below a double-keyfret scroll at the neck, the base inscribed with a four-character Qianlong nianzhi mark in black enamel

Condition

Some scratches or enamel pulling around the neck border affecting the yellow ground. Some pitting in the central panels. Gilding rubbed on foot rim, with minor rubbing on mouth rim. In otherwise good condition.
