very well hollowed, of square form with rounded corners gently sloping to a cylindrical neck, the oval footrim neatly carved, the stone of an even spinach-green color suffused with black and white flecks and striations

Condition
In good overall condition with one tiny nibble on the interior mouth rim, and very small edges of the exterior mouth rim may have been polished.

The color and inclusions on the present bottle are similar to one illustrated by Clare Lawrence, Miniature Masterpieces from the Middle Kingdom: The Monimar Collection of Chinese Snuff Bottles, London, 1996, pp. 170-171, pl. 79. It is also similar in shape and carving to another spinach-green jade bottle in The J & J Collection, illustrated in Moss, Graham and Tsang, The Art of the Chinese Snuff Bottle: The J & J Collection, New York, 1993, vol.
