Catalogue Note
According to Vanessa Holden, JICSBS, Spring 2002, p. 3 only one other example of this rare model exists, in the collection of Paul Braga. The enamel decoration can however be compared to that found on other figural bottles, including the Liu Hai bottle in the present sale, lot 24. Bottles molded in the form of standing baby boys, similarly dressed in string-tied aprons are also found, for an example of which see www.thecranecollection.com, no. 359.
