Second printing of the first publication relating to the petroleum industry in California. This prospectus was designed to raise $10,000,000 in capital for the California Petroleum Company by the sale of 10,000 shares at $100 each; one-tenth of the capital stock was reserved for working capital. The map is titled "Map Representing Locality of the Ojai Ranch in Sant Barbara County, California, beinging to the California Petroleum Company" and has an inset "Map of the Basin of Ojai." Scarce.
