Partly printed broadside document signed ("Go: Washington") on paper (15 5/8 x 12 5/8 in.; 397 x 322 mm; watermarked A Keller), accomplished in a clerical hand, [Philadelphia, before 17 January 1794], being a three-language ship's paper for the schooner Sally, commanded by George Runey and bound from Boston to Dominica carrying "beef bread bricks boards; cheese, candles; earthenware, fish, hoops, merchandise, oil rice & tobacco," countersigned by the Secretary of State ("Th: Jefferson") and the Deputy Collector of Customs at Boston ("Benjn: Weld"), embossed paper seal of the United States, notarizing signature and seal of Justice of the Peace Samuel Cooper; a few pinholes at intersecting folds; withal a fine example with unusually large, bold signatures of Washington and Jefferson.
