L. Clemens"), 2 pages, Vienna, 26 September 1898, to an unknown recipient but apparently a publisher, offering his article "The Memorable Assassination" (on the murder of the Empress of Austria in Geneva, 10 September 1898) for $600 instead of a "dream-story," also offers "The Platonic Sweetheart" as an option; browned along crease fold.
