Catalogue Note

This image appears as a full-page illustration in the 19 August 1895 issue of Harper's Weekly, page 750, with the caption "Recent Uprising Among the Bannock Indians.  A Hunting Party Fording the Snake River Southwest of Three Tetons."  An article on "The Bannock Affair" appears on page 745.   A copy of the 19 August 1895 issue is included with this lot.
