Catalogue Note

Speaking engagements. Earhart responds succinctly to her correspondent: "In your letter of August 31st you ask whether or not I ever make engagements to speak outside of New York. Unfortunately for home life--I do. In fact this autumn is completely filled with lecturing, here, there, and everywhere. Unless you wished a date after the first of the year, I could not come.

Earhart then provides details of her speaking engagements: "My rate for professional lectures is three hundred dollars. My title this year is 'Flying for Fun.' It includes incidents of my own and others' flying experience, with or without motion pictures, as desired."
