Catalogue Note

Articles, clippings and a photograph. Curie encloses (not present) an article her correspondent has requested in addition to an article of a Mr. Merritt and a clipping from the Independent which had been entrusted to her. She also includes (not present) a photograph of herself and Mr. Curie taken in their laboratory at the time they were taking a measure of radioactivity. She notes Mr. Curie is in the center and Mr. Petit, his laboratory assistant "who helps us very much" is on the left.

Curie continues her letter with a request for proofs of her article before publication. She notes if the article is too long, her correspondent should return it to her and she will shorten it. She closes her letter remarking she has nothing to add to her biography except that she has a daughter named Irene who is six years old.
