Cather does not wish to have a new edition of My Antonia published with Speiser's photographs of Nebraska, and returns the samples under separate cover. — Autograph letter signed ("Willa Cather"), 1 page (8 1/2 x 5 3/8 in.; 215 x 136 mm) on letterhead of "The Shattuck Inn", Jaffrey, New Hampshire, 8 October [1925], to Mr. "H.B."; formerly folded, lightly soiled. Lavender half-morocco drop-box, gilt-stamped title on spine. Thanking him for his review and the summary of the book that it provided, asking for another copy. — 2 typed and autograph letters signed ("Willa Cather"), 2 pages folio and 5 pages 8vo on letterhead of "Asticou Inn", Northeast Harbor, Maine, 2-3 July 1942 and 23 August 1945, to Mrs. J.B. Priestley in Leominster, Herefordshire, with accompanying envelopes. Tan half-morocco drop-box, gilt-stamped title on spine. Offers news of her wartime experiences and travel in the southwestern United States. — Autograph letter signed ("Willa Cather"), 1 page (11 x 8 1/2 in; 280 x 215 mm) on letterhead with her initials, Jaffrey, New Hampshire, 7 October [1926?], to Dr. Lynch. Green half-morocco drop-box. "I am sending you this first installment of the Archbishop today in a shaby wrapper. I shall use this note in the front of the book.
