Condition

The crucifix shows some signs of rusting, there are occasional markings to the surface and there are white adhesive marks where the bronze has been attached to the crucifix. Bronze is visible where the patination has worn on the figure's hands and on the reverse where the figure has been adhered to the crucifix. There are some surface markings to the figure and dirt has gathered in some of the crevices, otherwise it is in good overall condition.

The present work is unique and was the last bronze that Delaney cast at his foundry in Carraroe in 1995.
