Plate 20 1d. red-brown GI, S.G.BS9tx, used on a wrapper from Malton to York 16 July 1842, franked with a Plate 21 1d. red-brown FL, S.G.BS10, large margins, tied by a black Maltese Cross cancellation, Malton date stamp of despatch on the reverse, York arrival the same day, readdressed to Great Heywood and the Plate 20 1d. red-brown GI affixed to pay the onward fee, large margins, close at the left, tied by a superb complete impression of the distinctive York Maltese Cross cancellation in black, York date stamp of despatch 17 July and Rugeley arrival the following day; fine.
