used on a printed entire from Doncaster to Stamford 6 January 1841, clear margins, tied by a red Maltese Cross cancellation, Doncaster date stamp below the adhesive and a handstruck 'ABOVE WEIGHT' alongside, manuscript '2' confirms the amount due; fine. A PROBABLY UNIQUE USAGE. (S.G. £600+)

This sizeable printed entire was sent to the Marquis of Exeter. It contains a list of nearly 500 race-horses and their owners; the 1841 St. Ledger had 135 entrants and Lord Exeter had four horses entered in this race alone. There are also details of the 1842, 1843 and 1845 fixtures
