used on a wrapper from Manchester to Bradford 5 August 1840, large margins, tied by a red Maltese Cross cancellation and with handstruck 'MISSENT TO/HALIFAX' in blue alongside, Manchester date stamp of despatch on the reverse and Halifax arrival the following day, small filing spike hole at the left edge; very fine.
