series of three post cards each with the Balmoral Castle date stamp incorporating a crown at the foot, comprising 4 September 1911 picture post card of Union Street, Aberdeen to London with the code 'C' date stamp on the reverse, franked with the King Edward VII ½d. on the obverse and partly folded to the reverse, the stamp cancelled with the same date stamp but the following day; 30 September 1912 coloured picture postcard of Craithie Church, franked on the obverse with King George V ½d. tied by the Balmoral Castle date stamp, but without code, message from a member of staff (reputedly the Royal Chef); 15 September 1932 picture post card of Balmoral Castle from the same sender as the previous card to London, franked with King George V 1d., tied by the code 'B' date stamp; fine. A LOVELY MATCHED GROUP.
