Catalogue Note

Offered with an authoritative letter from J.T. Clarke wherein he confirms this stamp to be the bright magenta shade, though feels it is the scarce "dull" shade of this group. He felt the listing in the Stanley Gibbons catalogue should reflect two shades - bright magenta and magenta. He states that this example is the most extreme of the dull group that he has seen.
