used on an entire letter from Newton, Lincolnshire to London 9 July 1840, large margins with adjoining stamp at the top, tied by a red Maltese Cross cancellation, Newark date stamp of despatch opposite the adhesive, London code 'H' arrival date stamp on the reverse the following day; very fine.
