including two necklaces, a cuff bracelet, earrings and a bangle-bracelet; the bead necklace set with a oval citrine measuring approximately 46.8 by 38.0 by 23.1 mm., completed by a necklace composed of carnelian beads measuring approximately 17.0 mm. and sodalite beads measuring approximately 14.0 mm., mounted in 9 karat gold, length 21 inches; the silver necklace set with turquoise, mother-of-pearl and coral segments depicting birds within flowers, length 27 inches; the silver cuff bracelet set with turquoise, mother-of-pearl and tortoise depicting a bird in flight, internal circumference 6 5/8 inches, signed C. Bowie, IHMSS; the earrings set with pear-shaped sapphires weighing approximately .80 carat, framed by baguette and round diamonds weighing approximately 1.25 carats, mounted in 18 karat gold; the gold bangle-bracelet set with freshwater off round cultured pearls measuring approximately 5.00 mm., internal circumference 7ΒΌ inches.
Condition
All pieces in good general condition. BEAD NECKLACE: The carved, interlace spacers on the sodalite and carnelian bead necklace may be composed of lapis lazuli, not sodalite. The pale yellow citrine is eye-clean. SILVER JEWELRY: Both pieces with scratching due to wear and tarnished. Cracking to tortoiseshell on cuff. Some losses and cracking to black enamel on pendant. Cuff signed Bowie. EARRINGS: the dark blue sapphires eye-clean, the diamonds approximately H-I color, VS-I clarity. PEARL BANGLE: the pearls off-round and with waxy to good luster; strung to the bangle by means of plastic thread. No marks indicating karatage.
