the concave frame with spherules and leaf banding enclosing an ebonized reeded slip-frame surrounding a convex mirror plate, surmounted by a hippocampus resting on a shell over rocks and enclosed by leafy acorn branches, the apron carved with acanthus leaves and mounted with four scrolling candle arms.

Condition

Good restored condition; later gilded; not examined off of wall; cracks to gilding of frame; age cracks to ebonized slip; mirror plate appears to be original; candle arms possibly later
