the elliptical guilloche-carved shelf issuing three wirework leaf-cast S-scroll arms terminating in beaded bobêche and leafy baluster urn nozzles, set before a backplate with oval mirrored subsidiary plates surmounted by blossom-filled urn and oak-leaf garlands over a tapering leafy drop.

Overall good restored condition; later gilded; once drilled for electricity as seen on backs; losses and repairs to composition elements; chips and losses to gilding; some replacements to leaf tips; small chips and losses to acanthus-carved candle arms. I – with minor losses to flowers and foliage of cresting; burned losses to tops of candle nozzles; mirror plate appears to be original; cracks, drip pans possibly replaced. II – right pendant swag hanging from the urn finial lacking as appears in the catalogue illustration; loss to pendant swag of urn; oak leaf garlands flanking mirror loose and need of re-attachment; losses to candle nozzles, drip pans possibly replaced.
