comprising four side chairs and two armchairs, each curved reeded crest rail above a panel splat with gilt-bronze anthemion motif, flanked by scrolling arms above a flared rectangular caned on saber legs, painted black throughout with gilt bands with ivory linework; now with loose cushions.

Good restored condition; redecorated; losses to gilding; Armchair 1 – with a replaced siderail and back rail; four feet spliced and with plugs; some worm damage to rails; caning later; losses to gilding; brass roundels and palmette are later. Armchair 2 – with replaced front rail; four feet spliced with plugs; small repaired break to lower right corner of backrest; repaired breaks to tops of stiles at joins with cresting rail. Side chair – repaired break to stiles above the rail and now with plugs; repaired break to top of left stile at join with cresting rail. Side chair – front left leg possibly replaced. Side chair – back rail replaced; repaired break to front right leg at top.
