the box back and caned arms enclosing a loose cushion and upholstered seat, the painted rail on tapering spiral-twist fluted legs set on casters; now with red velour cushions. Together with four needlework cushions.
Condition
Good restored condition; the first with the sides formerly upholstered, the upholstery removed and now with plugs and infilling to holes; the other with two back legs with splitting to underside of feet; front seat rail with break at join with top of front left leg and side seat rail due to old worm damage; front central left leg slightly loose and projecting forward slightly; overall the painted decoration and gilding later, remains to original decoration to legs, rubbing and losses to gilding throughout; old worm damage to seat rails; now fitted with cushions and a loose cushion seat.
