the drop-in seat within a conforming apron on shell-carved cabriole legs terminating in ball-and-claw feet; bearing a later stamp H. Paine, upholsterer Cranbrook, also bearing incised Roman numeral VI on top seat rail.
Condition
Good restored condition and now with a high-gloss finish; one leg with repaired break at mid section replacements to veneers of frieze, age cracks and separations; old worm damage to feet; overall with some old marks, scratches and bruises.
