Condition

Colours: The colours in the catalogue are fairly accurate. Condition: This work is in good condition. The canvas is quite slack overall and there are slight canvas drawn in the four corners of the composition. There are scattered faint linear irregularities to the left half of the composition. There is slight discolouration to the canvas adjacent to the frame along the bottom edge. There is a faint vertical rub mark to the centre of the lower left quadrant and one beneath the right section of the top edge. There are scattered smaller rub marks in several places to the cream areas, as well as unobtrusive surface irregularities which would appear to be original to the work’s execution. No restoration is apparent when examined under ultraviolet light.
