Condition

Colour: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate although the overall tonality is slightly creamier and softer and less pink in the original. Condition: This work is in good condition. There are minute paint losses to the upper two corner tips. Close inspection reveals scattered tiny surface irregularities and brown media splashes in several places; notably towards the upper left and lower left corners. These appear to be superficial. There are faint stretcher marks with associated stable hairline cracks beneath the top edge; parallel to the upper sections of left edge and right edges; and to the upper section of the central composition. There are several faint rub marks: one approximately 40cm below the upper left corner; one in the centre of the lower right quadrant; one above the centre of the top edge. No restoration is apparent when examined under ultraviolet light.
