Catalogue Note

The current work is an important ink study with striking similarity in form to 'The Last Supper', the painting that won Sadequain the Laureate Biennale de Paris, in the early 1960s. Again, the use of calligraphic Cubist strokes to create figurative forms is prevalent in this rare and important work.
