Barbara Gladstone Gallery, New York Acquired by the present owner from the above in December 2003
"Form and content cohere to create the perfect Prince artwork: stolen but original, ironic but sincere, illusory but real." (Nancy Spector, Richard Prince, The Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, New York, 2007, p. 22)
This work is in very good condition overall. There is evidence of wear and handling on the frame especially at the four corners. The textural surface and paint nuances appear inherent to the medium and the artist's working method. Framed under Plexiglas. In response to your inquiry, we are pleased to provide you with a general report of the condition of the property described above. Since we are not professional conservators or restorers, we urge you to consult with a restorer or conservator of your choice who will be better able to provide a detailed, professional report.
