Condition

This work is in very good condition overall. The reverse of each of the backing boards are consecutively lettered A through E (which correspond with the five vertical rows) and 1 through 10 (which correspond with horizontal rows). These inscriptions are for the proper installation of the work and are as the work appears in the catalogue. Each photograph is in its original frame and only one (D1) was removed for closer inspection; therefore, any nuances or inconsistencies to the prints are presumably inherent to the artistic process. The frames are all in generally fine condition overall, only a few exhibiting scattered and unobtrusive spot abrasions and/or nicks. There are no apparent condition problems with this work.
In response to your inquiry, we are pleased to provide you with a general report of the condition of the property described above. Since we are not professional conservators or restorers, we urge you to consult with a restorer or conservator of your choice who will be better able to provide a detailed, professional report. Prospective buyers should inspect each lot to satisfy themselves as to condition and must understand that any statement made by Sotheby's is merely a subjective qualified opinion.
NOTWITHSTANDING THIS REPORT OR ANY DISCUSSIONS CONCERNING CONDITION OF A LOT, ALL LOTS ARE OFFERED AND SOLD "AS IS" IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE CONDITIONS OF SALE PRINTED IN THE CATALOGUE.
