formed of three pierced panels representing the Crucifixion, the Orante Mother of God and St George, within gilt borders set with green stone cabochons and engraved with Serbian inscriptions and dated 7156 (1648 AD), openwork scoll rim and feet

Bottom and chains of the lamp missing.

Catalogue Note
The present liturgical lamp is very similar to two examples in the Armoury of the Moscow Kremlin, one of which is dated 1666; a lamp in the Dečani Monastery in Serbia; and one in the Protaton Monastery on Mount Athos.
