Catalogue Note

This impressive cooler is perhaps the largest Fabergé object of its type known to exist.  For comparison, see the example, 23cm in height, by Jenny Väkevä (identifed as workmaster JW), which sold, Christie's Geneva, 15 May 1984, lot 280a.
