depicting St. George in full military uniform and red cape mounted on a white horse plunging his lance into the winged red dragon's open mouth, above him can be seen Christ in Majesty and an angel holding a crown descending from the heavens towards the saint, the rescued Princess Elizabeth stands at right, with the dragon still leashed with her belt, her parents can be seen in a tower above her attending the miraculous event; the figures of the Saint, Angel and Christ with gilt metal haloes and pendants (tsata) set with jewels and seed pearls, the borders and part of the background with gilt-metal basma oklad stamped with scrolling flowers and foliage, the upper border set with two raised gilt metal plaques on which are inscribed in Slavonic "The Miracle of St. George Saving the Maiden from the Dragon"
