circular with shaped rims, the borders with the monogram of Grand Duke Alexander Alexandrovich at the top beneath an Imperial crown, the remainder with a fine gilded pattern of scroll work and diaperwork set with flowerheads, the cavettos each realistically and finely painted with pairs of putti on clouds
