Literature

The large number of carved hardstone figures of birds in the British Royal Collection demonstrates the popularity of these models with Fabergé's most discerning clientèle. The gold feet of the banded agate pigeon (RCIN 40032), the agate hen (RCIN 40450), and the agate cock pheasant (RCIN 40314) are similarly unmarked. See Caroline de Guitaut, Fabergé in the Royal Collection, London, 2003.
