on a triple mount, titled in ink and with an authentication stamp, signed, titled, and dated by Virginia Adams in ink and pencil, on the reverse, framed, early 1920s
Condition
This early print, on warm, matte-surface paper, is in generally excellent condition. Upon close examination, very fine silvering and light edge-rubbing is visible at the periphery of the print. The print is trimmed to the image. It is mounted first to a trimmed white paper mount, second to a trimmed black paper mount, and third to a cream-colored, lightly textured mount.
The reverse of the mount along the upper edge is hinged with linen tape to a mat. The stamp on the reverse of the mount reads, 'Photograph by Ansel Adams / I, Virginia Best Adams, authenticate this print to have been photographed and printed by my husband, Ansel Adams.'
