This early print, on warm, matte-surface paper, is in generally excellent condition. Upon close examination, very fine silvering and light edge-rubbing is visible at the periphery of the print. The print is trimmed to the image. It is mounted first to a trimmed white paper mount, second to a trimmed black paper mount, and third to a cream-colored, lightly textured mount. The reverse of the mount along the upper edge is hinged with linen tape to a mat. The stamp on the reverse of the mount reads, 'Photograph by Ansel Adams / I, Virginia Best Adams, authenticate this print to have been photographed and printed by my husband, Ansel Adams.'
