Albert Bender to Alma Lavenson, 1927-29

Condition
This Parmelian print, with its original mount and mat, is in generally excellent condition. Two small pieces of tape (1/2-by-3/4 inch) are holding the print in place on its original mount at the upper right and lower left corners. The mount and mat exhibit age-appropriate darkening and are soiled. There are 7 circular deposits on the mount where the mat was formerly glued down.
Karen Haas's and Rebecca Senf's book, 'Ansel Adams in the Lane Collection,' publishes the most comprehensive list to date of the studio stamps and labels Adams used throughout his career. Our dating of this print is based upon the authors' assessment of the use dates of Label 1 on the reverse of this print: circa 1927-28.
