This early print is in generally excellent condition. On the reverse of the frame there is a Daniel Wolf, New York, label with typed credit, title, and date. This photograph was acquired from Daniel Wolf, Inc., New York, in the early 1980s.

In his book, To Make It Home: Photographs of the American West, Robert Adams wrote about this photograph,

'The house was identical with others in the development.  I felt the sadness of the figure, but I also loved the light.'
