Description

  • Elger Esser
  • 'PALUDO SAN GIACOMO, ITALY'
  • chromogenic print
mural-sized chromogenic print, front-mounted to Diasec, framed, the photographer's studio label, signed in ink and with printed title, date, process, and edition '2/7,' on the reverse, 2002

Provenance

Acquired from Joseph Bellows Gallery, La Jolla, in 2002

Condition

This mural-sized print is in generally very good to excellent condition. As is typical of Esser's work, the colors are somewhat neutral, and the sky area appears muted without definition. Visible upon very close examination in the lower central portion of the image, there are two scuffs to the Diasec front. These are not immediately apparent. There is a Sonnabend, New York, gallery label on the reverse of the frame.
