  • gelatin silver
the photographer's studio and reproduction rights stamps on the reverse, framed, 1961 (Meisterwerke, pl. 104, variant)

Condition

This print, on double-weight paper with a surface sheen, is in generally excellent condition. In raking light, various small deposits of original retouching are visible. In the lower left quadrant near the corner, there are two ¼-inch creases, which appear to break the emulsion. The corners are bumped. On the reverse of the print, the number '116' is written in pencil and the photographer's stamp reads, 'A. Renger Patzsch / Wamel-Dorf Uber Soest I. W.'. Also on the reverse, there is light age-appropriate darkening at the periphery.
