Description

  • Imogen Cunningham
  • 'TWO CALLAS'
  • gelatin silver

Condition

This photograph is in generally excellent condition. The corners are lightly bumped, resulting in a tiny loss of emulsion in the upper left corner. There is a tiny spot of original retouching visible in the right calla flower. Visible in raking light are the following: silvering in the dark areas at the edges and small shiny transparent areas on the surface of the print, likely from glass offsetting. There is sunning on the portion of the mount directly surrounding the image. Additional references for this image are as follows: Ideas Without End, pl. 40; Photographs, pl. 13; and Flora Photographica, p. 24.
