Condition
This daguerreotype of a young man in an unconventional pose is in very good condition. The old paper seal is presumably original, and is still intact. The spots that are visible in the image are nearly completely on the cover glass and not on the plate. The plate shows some minor tarnishing at the edges.
The daguerreotype is housed in an A. P. Critchlow 'Flowers in Scroll' Union Case (Krainik and Walvoord 202).
