Condition

This print, on paper with a surface sheen, is in generally very good condition. Fingerprints are visible along the upper edge of the print. Upon close examination, the following are visible: small retouching in the upper right corner; a pin-point-sized loss of emulsion on a beam in the upper right quadrant; and a small scuff near the left edge of the print. This photograph is in its original white frame, and is not glazed.

Catalogue Note

Dating for this image is unclear.  According to the Center for Creative Photography, Tucson, Adams himself ascribed three different dates to this image: 1936, 1958, and 1960.
