Condition
Sides shows some traces of restoration to the upper corners.
The top of the chimney piece is in good overall condition, pumiced and polished during a restoration (top brooched).
The lintel and the feet are in a good condition despite some unavoidable cracks to the edges.
Two hemstitched and carved acanthus leaves are restored.
Some parts of the cimney piece have been restored around the cartouches. The right side shows some traces of restoration to the upper corner and to the lower part. The left side shows some restorations to the lower corner.
This chimney piece, with a beautiful marble and a carved decoration, is a very fine item in a good overall condition.
